"寿"KOTOBUKI

　　
I made "寿""KOTOBUKI"mosaic.
「寿」パーツをつくりました。
"KOTOBUKI"is Japanese Kanji.It`s meens congratulation letter.This letter especially used New Year or marriage.Why I made this letter,because I want to make New Year`s beads.
「寿」とは日本の漢字です。おめでたい時に使います。お正月や結婚の時によく使う漢字です。私は、お正月のとんぼ玉を作りたくて、このパーツを作りました。
How to make "寿"
「寿」の作り方です。
Make shape like a rugby ball.
ガラスを溶かして、ラグビーボール状にします。

Flatten both sides like a board.
平らにつぶします。

Then pinch top end and pull and stretch.

端をつかんで、ひっぱります。

Cut these glass and planning .
板状のガラスをカットして、油粘土の上にのせて、計画を練ります。

Combination these parts in the flame.
これらを火の中で組み合わせていきます。

Stretch the glass.
組み合わせたものを引いていきます。

Completion!

完成！

Next,I will make beads to use this "寿"

次はこの「寿」を使ってとんぼ玉にしていきます。

ASAKUSA GLASS BEADS STUDIO OPENED!

I opened my glass beads studio in October 1.st
10月1日に、私はとんぼ玉工房をつくりました。

The name is "ASAKUSA GLASS BEADS STUDIO"

「浅草とんぼ玉工房」といいます。

This studio is small,but I think this small studio to be a very comfortable.

とても小さな工房ですが、とても快適です。

Why I named "ASAKUSA GLASS BEADS STUDIO",because my gland puarents lived in Asakusa in Tokyo, and I visited Asakusa every year since I was baby. And I wanted to name it.

何故、この名前にしたのかといいますと、私の祖父母が浅草に住んでいたので、幼い頃から、私は浅草に親しみがあり、この名前にしました。

This studio' equipment is Japanese torch has 6 and Paragon kiln.

工房設備は、日本のエアーバーナーが6台とパラゴンキルンが1台です。

I use Japanese soft glass(KINARI).It`s COE is about 128.

私は、日本のkinariガラスを使っています。膨張係数は128の柔らかいガラスです。

I favorite it KINARI glass　10 years.

このガラスを愛用して10年になります。

Goldfish and Tropical fish!

Japan comes hot summer!It is 33℃ or 34℃ everyday! How about the people in the world?
日本は夏本番です！ほぼ毎日33、4℃です！世界の方々はどのようにお過ごしですか？
I thought that Japan's summer has so moisture than U.S.A.
私は、日本はアメリカよりも湿気が多いように感じます。
This season, flame working studio in Japan has more than 32℃!Too Hot! Too Sweat!
この季節、バーナーの部屋は32℃以上は記録します！とても暑い！すごい汗！です！









I made the little Goldfish vase!It used burner blow technique and detail used flame working
小さな金魚鉢をつくりました！これは、バーナーブローという技法で、バーナーの上で５ミリのパイプを使って吹きます。細かい所はとんぼ玉の技法を使っています。

Glass in N.Y. 3 years ago,It session is impressed very much and I appreciated!I am really appreciated all the Corning!Corning is Heaven of glass!I desire to go Corning Museum Of Glass some day!
どうして、これを作ろうかと思ったかといいますと、３年前にアメリカのコーニングミュージアムオブグラスという素晴らしいスタジオで勉強する機会に恵まれ、素晴らしいセッションに感動し、心からの感謝を形にしたかったからです。コーニングは硝子制作における天国です！コーニングは全てにおいて素晴らしく、また、伺いたいと強く願います。

This glass beads used cold work technique.the end of make the glass beads and cut some parts to use the machine.Can you see that?
このとんぼ玉はコールドワークテクニックといって、とんぼ玉をつくった後に、機械所々をカットしています。みえますか？
The last glass beads is"Tropical fish"
最後は『熱帯魚』のとんぼ玉です。
This beads imaged under the sea.I went aquarium and I want to make this beads.
I impressed beautiful under the sea world !
これは、海の中をイメージしました。水族館に行った時に、美しい海の世界に感動して、つくりたいと思いました。
This beads cut some parts of glass beads that It used cold working technique too.
このとんぼ玉もコールドワークのテクニックを使って、所々カットを施しています。
I think this summer is too Hot!Please take care about physical condition!And!Let's enjoy this wonderful summer season!

A little early summer!

I'm sorry the update of the blog slowly.
ブログの更新が遅くなりましてすみません。
I made a little early summer beads!
少し早い夏用のとんぼ玉をつくりました！
"Fire works beads"is used of cold work technique.
”花火”玉はコールドワークの技法を使っています。
At first I made the Fire works beads, and after,using the cold works machine ,it cuts the bead in some places.
まず、とんぼ玉をつくった後に所々にカットをほどこしています。
Can you see ?
おわかりになりますか？
"Fire works "and "Tairyou" both beads are a work for the exhibition in this summer!
この”花火”と”大漁”のとんぼ玉は、どちらも今年の夏の作品展用です！

The New Year in Japan!

明けましておめでとうございます！

Ladies and gentlemen.How do you spend the New Year?
皆様は、お正月をどのようにおすごしですか？
It is one of the special events to welcome the New Year in Japan!
日本では、お正月は新年を迎えるための特別な行事のひとつです！
We eat the special dish for the New Year holidays.
お正月には、お節料理をいただきます。

We pay a visit to a shrine or temple on
New Year's Day.
元日は神社やお寺に初参りに行きます。
And we prays to the god, to spend safely this year in the temple or the shrine.
そして、今年一年無事にすごせますようにと初参りをします。

この写真は浅草寺と浅草神社です。
It is crowded at the New year holidays! So!crowded!!!
お正月は大変！大変！混雑します！！！
And a lot of stalls have gone out,too and it crowds in Sensou-ji Temple.
浅草寺では、たくさんの屋台もでていて、大変な賑わい様です。

I finished my solo exhibition in Yokohama!
横浜での個展が終わりました！
I spend about 8 month, prepare for this solo exhibition.
この個展に約８ヶ月を費やしました。
I made 283 beads! These are only beads,necklace,pierced earring,strap and any collaboration.
とんぼ玉、ネックレス、ピアス、ストラップやコラボレーションなど２８３個の作品をつくりました。









More than 200 people comes my solo exhibition!
個展には２００人以上の方々がお越し下さいました！
And I gave many wonderful bouquet!
そして、たくさんのお花も頂きました！
I appreciate everyone!
私は、お越しになったみなさんに、心から感謝しております！
I was encouraged for everyone!
みなさんに、たくさん元気をいただきました！
I wish, finally for this year, to thank you all!!!

Fireworks!

July and August, summer season is Fireworks season in Japan!
夏の７月と８月は、日本では花火大会の時期です！
I saw "Fireworks held in Sumida river".
私は「隅田川花火大会」をみました。
My room with Sumida river side is special room to see this Fireworks!
隅田川沿いの私の部屋は、この花火大会の特等席です！
Fireworks were exciting! and Beautiful!
We were impressed!
花火大会は、エキサイティングで美しくて感動しました！
The end of Fireworks,we acclaimed Fireworks workmen!
花火大会の終わりには、みんなで、花火師さん達を讃えました！
Thank you very much for many impression!
花火師さん！たくさんの感動をありがとうございました！！！



Then I made "Fireworks beads".
I hope to tell this impression everyone! And I hope always everyone will be happy like this beautiful Fireworks !
